Oil Method For Growing Hair Faster, Healthier & Stronger!

Thursday, February 19, 2015
Hola Everyone!

How's everyone doing? I'm back today with some tips and tricks on oiling hair. I LOVE oiling my hair, I've been doing it for a few weeks now and I already see a difference! When I was a little girl, my mom used to oil my hair everyday after my shower. I've got to thank her and the oil for my thick, healthy hair that I have today. As I got older, I stopped oiling my hair because I got busy/lazy lol. Ever since I started bleaching my hair, I wanted to repair the damage that I've caused. My hair was very dry, brittle, and thinning, so I knew I had to get it back to what it once was!

I did my research and found the perfect trifecta of oils that treats my hair amazingly. Now, I know there is a really big hype with Coconut Oil, but for me, I just didn't have a good experience with it. Of course I used the organic, non-refined and cold pressed version (which everyone should use no matter what type of oil to get the best results) but I felt like it was so heavy and thick and didn't wash out of my hair even after 2 shampoos and left my hair dryer than before! I do know some people that swear by coconut oil, but it's just not for me.

I have 3 oils to share with you today!

1. Castor Oil: Castor oil is a really thick oil but super beneficial! This oil should be applied directly onto the scalp and used with a carrier oil (lighter oil) so it's easier to work with. Castor oil stimulates the blood flow and hair follicles on your scalp, which in turn make your hair grow faster. MANY people use this oil for growing longer, and thicker oils.

2. Almond Oil: This oil can be used as the carrier oil for Castor Oil. Mix a little bit of Castor with the Almond and massage it into your scalp. I really like almond oil because it's light and very moisturizing. I feel like the oil actually penetrates into my hair strand and repairs it and also only takes one wash to remove from my hair. After washing it off, my hair literally feels so much smoother and silkier! This, unlike with the Castor Oil, can be applied all throughout the length of your hair!

3. Rosemary Essential Oil: This is the extra little punch in the trifecta. you only need 3-5 drops of this in your mix and it also, like the castor oil, should go on only the scalp. It helps to stimulate the follicles,  which of course makes your hair grow longer faster! It also is known to prevent graying hair AND hairless! It's like a miracle product, which is why you can see a lot of shampoos and hair products in the market that incorporate Rosemary oil

Application: Now, the way to apply all of these oils! The way I do it, and I have seen the best results with this method: Mix a nickel sized amount of Castor Oil with a dime sized amount of Almond oil and 3-5 drops of Rosemary oil and mix that in your hands. Then, I use my fingertips to apply the oil to my scalp and MASSAGE my head. It is very important to not use your nails to aggravate your scalp, but gov sit a nice massage! It feels SO good and is also very beneficial for your hair! I continue to make this mixture until I am sure my entire scalp is covered. I then take just the almond oil in my hair and spread it throughout my hair. I clip up all of my hair and just go on with my day or keep it on overnight. When I'm ready to wash it off, I only shampoo once, concentrating on my scalp and I still condition the bottom of my hair. With this method, after my hair is dry, its no longer oily but sold and shiny!

With this method I've noticed my hair has grown really fast this month! But, I'll keep you guys updated! Also, it's very important to note that the health of your hair depends on so many other factors as well, such as diet, climate, water, ect. This is just one method to improve the health/grow faster.

Let me know if you have any questions or would like more info on hair care/my hair. All of these oils were purchased at Whole Foods Supermarket and were relatively inexpensive (~less that $10).

Thanks for reading guys! Make sure to subscribe for more! Adios!
